RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY

We want you to love your artwork — and we stand behind the quality of everything we create and ship. While commissioned and custom works are final sale, we’ll always do our best to ensure you’re happy with your purchase.


Commissioned & Custom Artworks
Custom, commissioned, and embellished pieces are final sale. These works are handcrafted specifically for you and require substantial time, effort, and materials. Payment reflects the artist’s time and creative expertise; the finished artwork is the result of that effort. Once ordered, these pieces cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged.


Prints

Art prints are produced on professional, archival-quality papers or canvases. Paper weight, texture, and surface may vary slightly over time based on availability, but all materials meet our quality standards.

• Unsigned & unembellished: Return or exchange within 30 days — no restocking fee.
Signed prints: Return or exchange within 30 days — subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover inspection, handling, and re-certification costs.


In-Stock Original Artworks
Return or exchange within 30 days of receipt. A restocking fee of 25% of the retail price or 50% of the sale price (whichever is less) will apply.


Return Conditions
To qualify for a return or exchange:
• Artwork must be in original condition with no damage of any kind.
• All original packaging, documents, and proof of purchase must be included.
• Returns must be pre-approved in writing before shipment.
• MII reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.


To Request a Return
Email art@michaelisrael.com with your order details and reason for return. If eligible, we’ll provide instructions and written authorization. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.


Shipping Costs
Buyers are responsible for return shipping and must use a trackable, insured carrier. MII is not liable for items lost or damaged during return shipping. If your original order included free shipping, our actual shipping cost will be deducted from your refund or added to any exchange.


Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include clear photos. We’ll review the issue and may offer a repair, exchange, or replacement depending on the circumstances.


Refund Timeline
After we receive and inspect your return, eligible refunds (minus applicable fees) will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 days pass without receiving your refund, please contact us.

Ownership, Storage & Media Rights
By purchasing, the buyer grants MII and the artist permission to photograph, record, and use any related media for archival or promotional purposes.

Buyers must pick up artwork from MII’s studio or arrange and prepay for delivery within 30 days of purchase or within 30 days of MII’s delivery request — whichever is later.
Failure to do so will incur storage fees of $50/month for original canvases and $20/month for other works.

If a piece remains unclaimed after one year, ownership and all associated rights revert to MII, with no refund or further claim by the buyer.


Liability
The purchaser is responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, delivery, and collection costs. MII and Michael Israel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from purchase, delivery, storage, or disposition — except to repair or replace artwork damaged or lost prior to delivery.
