“Vegetarian – Purple” is an atmospheric blend of strength, sensuality, and nature’s mystique—captured through the lens of Bob Lasky and brought to life by the airbrush mastery of Michael Israel. The model, Alex, is transformed into a living forest spirit, her form entwined with blossoms, leaves, and luminous hues that seem to breathe against the night.

Bathed in purples, aquas, and deep shadows, Alex appears both hidden and revealed. Her eyes glance upward, lost in thought or perhaps communing with something just beyond reach. The image feels alive, like a dream caught mid-bloom.

As with all works in the Lasky/Israel Collection, this piece began with analog artistry. Bob photographed Alex in bodypaint using a Hasselblad camera, then developed the image in his darkroom. Michael then applied vivid airbrush enhancements, turning the figure into a surreal fusion of human and flora. Bob re-photographed the piece and altered the final print chemistry to create its haunting glow and smooth texture.
